Job Title: LifeGroup Pastor
Department: Adult Ministry
Supervisor: Executive Pastor of Ministry
Weekly Commitment: 40-45 Hours
Classification: Full-Time Salary Employee
PURPOSE:
The LifeGroups Pastor is responsible for helping people at Arundel Christian Church (ACC) transition into greater involvement and connection within the life of the church and her ministries. Semesterly, we average between 45-50 LifeGroups. This includes developing, managing, and maintaining processes/information for joining a LifeGroup, recruiting and training group leaders and coaches, and maintaining communication. Additionally, the LifeGroup Pastor will continue to maintain ACC’s cultural identity that recognizes that “we are not a church with LifeGroups, we are a church of LifeGroups.”

EXPECTATIONS:
- Develop and manage all key LifeGroup (LG) processes designed to connect people into the mission and vision of ACC, including verbal, written, and digital communication.
- Serve as the liaison between LifeGroups leaders and people seeking LifeGroup involvement, including placement, follow-up, and attendance tracking.
- Recruit, train, and empower highly relational and community-focused people to serve in support of LifeGroups.
- Maintain current records of all ACC LifeGroups, including attendance, availability, and meeting locations/times.
- Maintain and build metrics that help to recognize the successes and needs of LifeGroups, LG Leaders, and LG Coaches.
- Assist in the development of an annual budget for LifeGroup ministries and manage spending to budget.
- Participate in the annual goal-setting process, under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Ministry, to establish key objectives and tasks for this position.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly communication and collaboration meetings, and staff development opportunities.
- Maintain awareness and pulse of small group ministries, leaders, trends, and resources that will best help support and facilitate the healthy growth and multiplication of current and future LifeGroups.
- Oversee the Care Ministry of ACC, including but not limited to Prayer Ministry & Stephen’s Ministry.
- Requires Partnership with ACC and must work on Sundays.

- PEOPLE-SYSTEMS ENGINEER: Someone who develops, maintains, and improves systems that create a gravitational pull toward discipleship and leadership development while keeping ministry in the hands of volunteers.
- TEAM BUILDER: A co-laborer that establishes relational trust, developing partnerships among team leaders, and modeling a disciple-making life – aligning all efforts to the mission.
EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required. The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic and possess the passion and gifts required to fulfill all job requirements.
